A little duckling, waddling onward
Following close behind her mothers
Where they stray from the path, so does she
Where they rest for the night and soak in the lake
So does she
Where the stagelights shine bright above
Her feathers are warmed, kept soft and clean
Mothers be damned!
I pursue paralysis
For the applause
When the storms
Flash bright wrath upon
The lakes, all I've known to be home
Up and down I float upon the waves turning dark
Paths diverge
She knows
No wave will wash
The fear off her feathers
But there is no life without
Adventure
